My name is Linda, I’m 26 years old and I come from Belgium, in

Europe.After graduating in Public Relations in 2009, I decided

to leave home and explore another country, Australia. Being 21

and independent in a country you don’t know is not easy but

it’s the best experience ever. It made me stronger in lots of

ways and open to the world.

In my opinion, travelling and learning about other cultures

are the most enjoyable things in life.

I started teaching English in 2012 in Belgium and realized I

loved sharing my knowledge of languages (I speak French,

Spanish and Dutch as well) and my experiences through language.

Though, teaching at home wasn’t enough… What country would be

the most different in terms of language and culture? There was

my answer: China!

So I packed and followed my partner and best friend 10000 km

away from home. Teaching in China is the biggest risk I have

ever taken but I love challenges. Here, I get to learn everyday

about others and myself and share my experiences with my students.

After teaching for a year in smaller city in Fujian, I decided to

move to Quanzhou for some new stories to hear and tell. World

International English is giving me this opportunity and I sure

will enjoy it!
